How to use it
- Select geometry in SketchUp.
- Choose Scan Selection.
- Double-click a result to locate its material in the list.
Expected result
Select a chair to find its timber and fabric materials before editing either finish.

Behavior and limits
Scanning helps you identify materials before editing. It does not replace a hierarchy report: use Material Diagnostics when you need to distinguish inherited appearance from a direct assignment.
